Patrick and Stella Beesley warmly welcome you to Salcombe Close House Bed and Breakfast in Sidmouth, Devon.
In a wonderfully tranquil location, the house is a short, level stroll into town, following the river Sid, through the National Trust Park called The Byes.
Since we first moved here in 1991, we always dreamt that one day we would do B&B here on a small scale. Now, all these years later, that “one day” has arrived! We are offering only two guest bedrooms, but have aimed at providing something quite individual and special. The house is furnished with a comfortable mix of antiques and quality contemporary furniture.
The house is surrounded by lush, mature gardens (nature always seems to win over gardener!) - where guests are welcome to sit and enjoy the real peace and quiet. We have ample parking, and anyone with an interest in old cars will find a kindred spirit in Pat. We have an 81 year old Austin, and a 62 year old Alvis in the family.
Inside, the house is furnished with a comfortable mix of antiques and quality contemporary furniture. There is an inviting guest living room to relax in after a busy day exploring the local area, and an airy dining room, filled with morning sunlight, where you can enjoy a breakfast made to order from a range of fresh, locally sourced produce. Some of our produce is truly local, thanks to 'the girls'. Tabitha, Polly and Hesta provide wonderfully fresh eggs at the bottom of the garden, where they have plenty of space to explore. No need to worry about food miles!
Attention to detail is important to us whether in our guest rooms, the food we serve, or those little extras that can make your stay even more enjoyable. So if you have a special request, special dietary requirements or you are staying with us for a celebration, please let us know. Our aim is to make your stay a perfect one!
Whether you are staying with us for a weekend, a weeks holiday, or just for a night you'll find Salcombe Close House a haven of relaxtion and enjoyment.
