Accessibility Statement

The drive is gravel, with enough room for at least two cars. There is a slight slope from the road. The house is halfway down a sloped lane. The approach is well lit, both with street lights and private lights directed onto the drive. There is ample turning room.

The walk to the front door from the car will be no more than 5 metres. There are two steps to enter the house, and a flight of 17 carpeted stairs with a landing halfway up to get to the rooms on the first floor. All rooms are on the first floor. The steps are shallower than typical stairs, at 18cm high and 22cm deep. There are hand rails on both sides and good lighting.

The guest living and dining rooms are carpeted, with a sofa and side tables with tourist information literature, DVDs and books to borrow in the living room. The dining room is well lit, carpeted and is equipped with dining tables and padded chairs with backs. There is a set of french doors leading out to the garden, which involves one step.

The rooms are both carpeted, and each have two armchairs, memory foam topped beds (which are higher and larger than average beds), side tables and refreshment making facilities, including cordless kettles and bottled water. The televisions are wall mounted and can be angle adjusted, and have remote controls.

The Magnolia en suite bathroom has wooden floors, with a number of rugs. There is a toilet, bidet, roll top bath, shower cubicle and pedastal hand basin. There are a number of white towels and a set of bathrobes provided for use. There is a shaving socket next to the sink. There is a large wooden chair with back support and arm rests. Anti slip mats are available on request for use in the bath and shower.

The Wisteria en suite bathroom has a linolyem floor, a pedastal hand basin, bidet, toilet and large shower cubicle. There are a number of white towels and a set of bathrobes provided for use. There is a shaving socket next to the sink. Anti slip mats are available on request for use in the shower.

There are fire detectors in all rooms, with audio and light warnings. There are fire extinguishers on the ground floor and first floor landings in plain view next to night lights.

Outside seating is available and highly recommended in the summer. The paving outside the dining room is not smooth. The rest of the public garden area is flower beds and flat lawn. Chickens are kept, with an electric fence. Warnings are shown.

We do not have facilities for children, and rarely take young family bookings, but please enquire and we will do our best. We have no family room available. We do not allow dogs. We are a non-smoking establishment. We do not have wheelchair access.
